The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a steep natural hillock marked with an OS trig. point (437ft/133m OD), in gently undulating pasture with excellent views to E, SE and S. Ringfort (WM025-129----) lies c. 135m to SE. Bivallate ringfort described in 1971 as a circular-shaped area (diam. 20m) enclosed by an inner bank, an intervening fosse and traces of an outer bank. The inner bank is high and steep and is visible from S-W-NW with livestock gaps from WSW-W. A narrow, shallow intervening fosse and slight indications of an outer bank, which are set on a natural scarp, are visible from SW-W-NW. The interior has a gentle E-facing slope and the surface is uneven with many humps and hollows. A souterrain (WM025-128001-) is located within.
