The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a gentle E-facing slope of a rise, in pasture, with good views in all directions, particularly to S. Indicated as a standing stone on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map. This area of the Jamestown Court demesne is depicted as rock outcrop and is named ‘Cloghstuck’. The site of a ringfort (WM025-126----) lies c. 145m to NW. Monument described in 1971 as no surface remains visible.
