The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the N side of a gentle rise, in gently undulating pasture, with extensive view to NNW and views restricted by higher ground elsewhere. Monument described in 1971 as an oval-shaped area (dims. 22m E-W; 18m N-S) enclosed by a low earth and stone bank with possible entrance gap (Wth at top 4.9m; basal Wth 1.8m) at E. No visible trace of an external fosse. The bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m; Wth at top 0.5m; basal Wth 3.3m) is approximately twice as high on the exterior as it is on the interior. There are slight disturbance gaps in the bank at NNE, SW and W. The interior has a gentle N-facing slope. A large, shallow roughly oval-shaped depression occupies the NE quadrant. Inside the bank on the SW there is another roughly oval-shaped depression. A field description from 1976 describes the SE side of the monument as having been straightened in more recent times. Monument is visible on Digital Globe aerial photography as a D-shaped earthwork.
