The National Monuments Service's description

Ringfort annotated 'Judge's Fort' on 1837 OS Fair Plan Map. Situated on flat elevated pasture with good views in all directions. On the demesne lands of Mosstown House located 120m to S. Circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 30m) enclosed by a well preserved high steep-sided wide earthen bank (int. H 2m; ext. H 3-3.5m) and poorly preserved external fosse with entrance gap at E. A post-1700 roofless building stands in centre of ringfort. Outline of ringfort clearly visible on oblique aerial photograph (CUCAP BDK033) taken 14/07/1970. Fragments of medieval cut stone from Mosstown Castle (WM024-147---) including a punch-dressed chamfered jambstone have been reused in the construction of the post-1700 building. This building with a wide flat-headed doorway in the centre of E gable was probably a farm building.
