The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Ringforts (WM024-093----/WM024-091----) lie c. 140m to NW and c. 150m to SE, respectively. Taghnafearagh House lies immediately to NW. Monument described in 1971 as a subcircular-shaped area (dims. 32.5m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by a bank and slight external fosse with a gap (Wth at top 4.3m; basal Wth 1.2m) at NNW which may represent the entrance. The bank is low on the interior where some large stones represent the remains of an internal stone facing. The bank is high and steep on the exterior and it incorporates some rock outcrop at SSE. It is slightly defaced and with livestock gaps in several places. The slight fosse is best defined at N. The interior rises slightly from the perimeter towards the centre; there is some rock outcrop within.
