The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the line of a former field fence running N-S, on top of a rocky hillock, with good views to NW, SSE and overlooked by higher ridges to ENE and WSW. Monument described in 1977 as the remains of a rectangular-shaped stone lined cist (dims. 1.05m N-S; 0.8m E-W). defined by three long, weathered limestone slabs to S, W and N sides which are set on edge (max. L 0.8m; max. H 0.6m) to enclose a box-like structure that is open to E. Two smaller stones appear to close the SW corner.
