The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low rise, on the ENE side of a hill, in rough pasture, with good views to SE and NW. Ringforts (WM024-104----/102----) lie c. 110m to NE and c. 160m to NW, respectively. Monument described in 1971 as an oval-shaped area (approx. dims. 48.3m N-S; 70m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank, fosse and external bank. A gap (Wth at top 4.5m; basal Wth 1.6m) at N may represent the entrance, although there is no definite trace of a causeway at this point. An old field wall and laneway running NNW-SSE extend across the E end of the site, where the perimeter has been removed from NE-E-ESE. The surviving bank is visible from ESE-S-W-N-NE and is low, yet steep and is almost reduced to a scarp, with several disturbance gaps. The remains of a wide shallow outer fosse is visible from WSW-W-N-NE. There are some large stones incorporated into the outer bank. A house site (WM024-105001-) and a possible house site are located within the E and W quadrants, respectively. Outline of monument clearly visible on oblique aerial photograph (CUCAP AOY079) taken 12/07/1966.
See attached plan and profile of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
