The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on top of a rocky hillock with good views to NW, SSE and overlooked by higher ridges to ENE and WSW. Monument described in 1971 as an oval-shaped area (dims. 27.5m NW-SE; 24.2m NE-SW) enclosed by a bank and external fosse, a gap (Wth at top 4.2m; basal Wth 1.8m) at NNW probably represents the entrance. The bank is low and steep being best preserved from N-E and almost reduced to a scarp E-S-W-N. The scarp is much disturbed by quarrying from ENE-E and at S. The remains of a narrow, shallow fosse is visible from SW-N-ENE. The interior has a gentle E-facing slope. There are four large stones within the WSW quadrant which may represent the scant remains of a house site, however this is uncertain. Outline of monument clearly visible on oblique aerial photograph (CUCAP AOY078) taken 12/07/1966.
