The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views from NW-N-E-S-W. Ringfort (WM020-130----) lies c. 47m to SSW. Annotated ‘Fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork (approx. dims. 53m N-S; 46m E-W). Monument described in 1970 as a large suboval-shaped area enclosed by a bank and external fosse. The bank has gaps at SW and N. The fosse is visible as a slight depression from SSE-S-SSW. The entrance (Wth at top 8.4m; basal Wth 4.5m) is at SE. The interior rises gently from the perimeter toward the centre. Monument is visible as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
