The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, overlooking bog from SW-W and with good views of the surrounding landscape. Ringfort (WM020-068----) lies c. 80m to W. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a suboval-shaped earthwork (approx. dims. 33m NW-SE; 24m NE-SW). Monument described in 1970 as an oval-shaped earthwork enclosed by a bank, traces of an intervening fosse and a slight outer bank. The inner bank (Wth at top 0.7m; overall Wth 4m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) is almost denuded down to the interior and is reduced to a scarp from SSW-SW-W. Part of the scarp has been quarried away at W. The original entrance is not visible although there is a gap (Wth at top 6.7m; basal Wth 3.5m) in the inner bank at SSE. There is a short portion of a shallow fosse and a slight outer bank at SE only. The interior has a NW-facing slope with traces of cultivation ridges running ENE-WSW. Two stones protrude from the surface of the interior on the NW and a third stone stands on the surface inside the bank at NE. Monument is visible today as an oval-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
