The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture with restricted views of surrounding landscape. Ringforts (WM020-051----/-050----) lie c. 85m to NW and c. 165m to NNW, respectively. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a subcircular-shaped earthwork cut by a roadway to E. Monument described in 1970 as a much disturbed roughly circular-shaped area (dims. 43.2m N-S; 39m E-W) enclosed by a bank. The exterior of the bank is steep and it has almost been reduced to a scarp on the interior. A modern deposit of organic material lies against the exterior of the bank from SSW-W-N. There is no definite trace of a fosse. A substantial portion of the site has been cleared away to insert a large concrete silage pit which extends from the centre to the perimeter at NNE. The bank is much disturbed on either side of this. The bank has several small gaps due to modern disturbance. A wide gap (Wth at top 7m; basal Wth 4.8m) at S may represent the original entrance but it could equally be due to modern interference of the site. The interior rises gently from the perimeter to the centre and has been poached by cattle. Monument is visible today as a tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
