The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions, except where overlooked by higher ground to WNW. Ringforts (WM020-050---- /-052----) lie c. 85m to SE and c. 130m to NNE, respectively. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a suboval-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1970 as a broad oval-shaped area (dims. 44m WNW-ESE; 33.8m NNE-SSW) enclosed by a bank, fosse and traces of an outer bank. The inner bank is best preserved from ENE-E-SSE and elsewhere it is gapped. The exterior of the bank is steep and it is almost reduced to a scarp on the interior. The remains of the fosse are wide and shallow and two ESB poles have been erected within it at E. A modern field fence running E-W extends from the exterior of the monument at S and obscures the outer bank at this point. There is a causeway (overall Wth 6.3m; Wth at top 3m; H 0.8m) across the fosse and a corresponding gap (Wth at top 7.3m; basal Wth 1.4m) in the inner bank at NE. The interior has a gentle WNW-facing slope and has traces of cultivation ridges running N-S. Monument is visible as a tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
