The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise in gently undulating pasture overlooked by a higher rise to N. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 6-inch map as the arc (C 40m NW-SE) of an earthwork. Partially levelled monument described in 1970 as the remains of a roughly circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 28m) defined by a bank from S-W-NW, elsewhere the monument has been levelled. The surviving arc of bank (approx. H 1.8m) is visible from SSW-W-NNW and is steep on the exterior. There are traces of a fosse from SSW-SW-W. The original entrance is not recognisable. The interior slopes down gently from the perimeter to the centre. A quarry has disturbed the perimeter of the monument at W, where there is also a modern footpath. Monument is visible on Digital Globe aerial photography as the tree-lined arc of an earthwork.
