The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Ringforts (WM019-003---- and WM019-007----) lie c. 140m to NE and c.200m to SE, respectively. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork. Annotated ‘fort’ on the OS Fair Plan map. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork bisected by a railway line.
Monument described in 1970 as a roughly circular-shaped area (dims. 47.8m E-W; 46.5m N-S) enclosed by a modern field bank where the perimeter is intact. The field banks are of earth and stone and define the perimeter from N-SE and from SSW-NW, probably following the line of the former ringfort bank. A railway line running NW-SE cuts through the centre. The straight sides of the sunken railway at this point are defined by a scarp which rises to the interior of the ringfort. The interior of the monument either side of the railway line is almost completely covered with quarry holes. Monument is visible as a roughly oval-shaped scrub-covered earthwork bisected by a railway line on Digital Globe aerial photography.
