The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. No monument depicted at this location on any editions of the OS 6-inch maps. A pencilled note in the SMR file field map for this location refers to ‘complex medieval earthwork[s]’.
Levelled earthworks described in 1980 as no surface remains visible. The area has been levelled and the field fence marked on the OS map running NE-SW to S, has been removed. There are a number of narrow bands (approx. Wth 0.75m) of differential growth where there is paler grass than elsewhere running roughly NE-SW across the field. This may represent levelled portions of the earthworks. The levelled earthworks are not visible today on Digital Globe aerial photography.
