The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of a small hillock. Ringfort (WM017-010---) 200m to SSE. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a circular enclosure with trees on the perimeter, annotated as a ‘fort’. No surface remains of levelled site visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. Farm buildings located immediately to the S and E. Monument described in 1983 as consisting of a circular-shaped raised area (approx. diam. 28m N-S) enclosed by a well preserved earthen bank (max. H 2.5m). The natural hill may have been scarped to form the raised flat interior. Monument placed on the Register of Historic Monuments, Iris Oifigiúil, 11 February 1975.
