On low rise of ground in undulating countryside with Noughaval House 120m to E. A roughly D-shaped graveyard (int. dims. 60m E-W x 60m N-S) enclosed by a post-medieval stone wall (H 1.2m; wall T 0.45m), with entrance gate and stile at NW corner. The medieval church ruins (WM016-012----) stand in the N quadrant of the graveyard. Possible site of holy well (WM016-012002-) dedicated to St Finnian located outside graveyard wall close to NW angle. The remains of a curving earthen bank mainly reduced to a scarp can be seen running along the inner face of the N and E sections of the graveyard wall and may represent the remains of a possible Early Christian ecclesiastical enclosure (WM016-012003-). The graveyard contains memorials dating from the post-medieval period onwards. Low series of earthworks can be seen in the field to the E of the graveyard while a circular earthwork can be seen in field immediately S of graveyard wall. The earthworks in the field to the E and S of the graveyard may be associated with the medieval church or possibly earlier. Linear earthworks in the field to the SW of the graveyard appear to be drainage ditches of post medieval period. A linear drain running along the external face of the W wall of the graveyard appears to be post-medieval in date. The land immediately to the W of the graveyard is waterlogged while the land to the E and S is dry pasture.
