The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise on the NW face of a hill in grassland, surrounded by gently undulating countryside. Ringfort (WM012-035---)140m to NW, ringfort (WM012-096---) 140m to SE. The field fence which forms the townland boundary with Loughanstown lies 40m to E. Poorly preserved site reduced to a circular raised area defined by a scarp (approx. diam. 34m NW-SE; 32m NE-SW) enclosed by a shallow fosse and low outer bank. The fosse and bank is only visible from SE-S. A depression (Wth 3.2m) in the scarp at NE may represent the entrance. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running ENE-WSW across the interior. Outline of monument is clearly visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
See attached profile of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
