The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a low rise in gently undulating grassland with good views of the surrounding countryside. Earthwork (WM012-007----) 100m to SW. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a sub-rectilinear shaped enclosure in the SE corner of a field, annotated ‘fort’ with a gravel pit in the SW quadrant. On this map the enclosing bank was depicted as upstanding from SW-W-N-NNE, elsewhere it was intersected by a field boundary from NE-E-S-SW. This site has been almost completely levelled. Originally it consisted of a slightly raised circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 36m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank from SW-W-N-NE, and a shallow external fosse. The bank has been modified to form a field fence, and elsewhere it has been reduced to a scarp. The interior slopes slightly from NW-SE.
