The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight natural rise in gently undulating grassland on the landscape grounds of Rosmead House 930m to SW. Depicted as a large bivallate circular enclosure and annotated as ‘Fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map. Depicted as a tree-lined bivallate enclosure on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map where it looks like a designed landscape feature associated with Rosmead House. The enclosure is not depicted on subsequent editions. No surface remains visible of levelled monument which may have been reused as a tree-ring in the 18th century as part of the landscaping of the estate belonging to Rosmead House.. Cropmark of bivallate enclosure visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
