The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on low hillock in well drained grassland, in undulating countryside. Church (WM008-090----) and graveyard (WM008-09001-) 175m to NE. Bogland 570m to W. A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 24m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks separated by a wide intervening space (max. Wth 12m) with wide external fosse. This fosse is only visible at N. There are traces of cultivation ridges in this intervening space. The interior rises towards the centre, where the remains of a rectangular house site (WM008-089001-) are visible. Adjoining the NE side of the monument is a rectangular area (approx. diam. 22m NE-SW; 14m NW-SE) enclosed by a fosse and external bank only visible at NW & NE.
