The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in pasture-land on the E facing slope of a prominent hill with wide views of the surrounding countryside. Lough Lene 400m to S. An oval-shaped area (approx. diam. 41m NW-SE; 32m E-W) enclosed by two earth and stone banks with intervening fosse and a possible entrance gap (Wth 1.3m) in the inner bank at SE. The outer bank only survives at W & N. The S side of the monument has been quarried into, with some disturbance at W also. The interior slopes from NW-SE. The remains of two rectangular house sites are visible in the W (WM008-008001-) and E (WM008-008002-) quadrants of the interior. They have been disturbed by cultivation ridges which run NW-SE across the interior.
