The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on E facing slope of rising ground in grassland, with extensive views from N-E-S, overlooked by higher ground to W. Lough Glore 370m to SSW, earthwork (WM003-080---) 110m to E. A large oval shaped area (approx. diam. 40m NE-SW) enclosed by two earth and stone banks with an intervening fosse. The inner bank is low and wide, the fosse is shallow and the outer bank is slight and poorly preserved. The banks have been levelled by quarrying at E. There is an entrance gap at NE. The interior slopes from SW-NE. Rectangular house site (WM003-079001-) in the centre of the monument which is visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
