The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on NW facing slope of a steep hill in undulating grassland. Lough Glore visible 380m to SW. Ringfort (WM003-074----) 195m to N. The field fence which forms the boundary with Carpenterstown townland is 120m to S. A large raised D-shaped area (approx. dims. 41m NW-SE; 25m NE-SW) enclosed by two earthen banks with an intervening fosse. The inner bank is substantial and well preserved, the fosse is wide and flat-bottomed, and the outer bank is low and wide. There is an entrance gap (Wth 3.2m) and causeway (Wth 7.2m; H 1.2m) across the fosse at NE. A field fence running NE-SW forms the S perimeter of the monument, and a field fence running NE-SW intersects the perimeter at W. Quarry holes are visible along the E side of the site which has levelled the banks and fosse at this point. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running NW-SE across the interior.
