The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a gentle NW-facing slope, but with a sharp short dip at the W edge. An almost circular area (diam. 32.7m NW-SE) defined by a mainly earthen bank (Wth 4-6.6m; int. H 1-1.6m; ext. H 1.6-1.8m) and an external fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.5m). At the NE the bank has a near vertical outer face but is more gently sloped elsewhere. The interior slopes gently from SE to NW. At the NW the bank has been cut back (and apparently used to backfill the fosse) to facilitate the entrance into the field. At the W the bank merges into the field boundary adjacent to the road; this gives the site a slightly flattened appearance at this point. No trace of an entrance or internal features. Marked as a semicircle on the 1838 OS 6-inch map.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
