The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the W-facing slope of a N-S ridge with extensive views to the W. Oval enclosure (max. dims. 40m N-S x 35m E-W), incorporated into the field system, none of which is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. The enclosure (int. dims. 37m N-S x 32m E-W) is defined by a stone wall with some earth in it (Wth 1.2-1.4m; H 0.8-l.1m). The original entrance appears to have been at the SW, and has two large stones flanking it at the bank terminals. There is a rectangular house site in the NW quadrant (ext. dims. 11.4m N-S x 6.1m E-W), which is possibly modern. There is also a semicircular enclosure defined by a low stone wall attached to the inside of the bank at the S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
