The National Monuments Service's description

This is the record for the corn-drying kiln in Red Tobin's excavation (E3259) on the N11 road improvement scheme. The kiln is of the ‘figure-of-eight’ plan variety. Within its fill were found two fragments of what appears to be a furnace bottom composed of iron slag. Seeds were identified within the fill of the kiln. (Tobin 2009g)
