The National Monuments Service's description
Two hearths were excavated here in 2003 (Excavation Licence 03E1092) during the course of the road improvement scheme for the N11 between Newtownmountkennedy and Ballynabarney Co. Wicklow. Evidence of in situ burning was found in both and a flint fragment was recovered from one and a fragment of flint and nine triangular-shaped stones were recovered from the other.
