A series of pits and postholes were excavated here in 2003 (Excavation Licence 03E1038) during the course of the road improvement scheme for the N11 between Newtownmountkennedy and Ballynabarney Co. Wicklow. (Lynch 2007, 481; Lynch, 2005)
