The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a ploughed field at a small level break on a marked SE-facing slope. Local tradition suggests that a church stood here within an enclosure. No trace of either at ground level. The enclosure is described in the OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 120-21) as having a diameter of c. 45m and a bank c. 1.2m in height. It is marked on the 1838 OS 6-inch map but not on the current edition. Ronan (1928, 152) suggested that the enclosure was levelled in 1830.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
