The National Monuments Service's description
Sherds of two food vessels and a quantity of cremated bones were recovered from a cist in this townland in 1969 (Ó Ríordáin 1972, 236). A pit containing cremated bones was reportedly found nearby a few years before.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
