The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the lower W edge of Keadeen Mountain over looking a shallow valley. Circular area (diam. 35m) defined by a well-preserved bank (max. H 1.2m), truncated at W-NW by the road. A well-defined external fosse (max. D 1.3m), and a very slight external bank (H 0.3m) survive at the E. There is a possible entrance gap at the SSW with traces of a rectangular structure (dims. c. 6m E-W; 4m N-S) visible immediately inside and to the W of this entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
