The National Monuments Service's description
Situated about 320m NE of a motte and bailey (WI020-010----) on the level summit of a steep-sided ridge. Rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 100m NE-SW; c. 70m NW-SE) defined by a fosse (Wth 7m; D 0.25-0.6m) which is not visible on the SE side.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
