The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a gentle S-facing slope. Square enclosure (L of sides 51m) defined by an earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2m) faced on the outside with drystone walling and an external fosse (Wth c. 4-6m). There is a possible entrance feature at the E with a causeway across the fosse. A stream feeds into the fosse and the surrounding area is marshy.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
