The National Monuments Service's description

This stone was moved to its present location from near the stone pair known as the Gossan Stones near Scarr Mountain. It consists of a coarse-grained granite block (0.59m x 0.52m and 0.19m high) with a bowl-shaped depression (0.30m x 0.275m and 0.15m deep) (pers. comm. C. Corlett).
