The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a very gentle S/SW-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 43m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5-3.5m; int. H 0.8-1.2m; ext. H 1.2-1.8m) with modern external drystone facing. There is a marked internal NE-SW slope, and a possible disturbed entrance at the SW. The only internal features are two small clearance cairns, and there are no traces of an external fosse. A bullaun noted on an earlier visit (1977) is no longer on the site (OPW files).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
