The National Monuments Service's description
The church was demolished before 1838 and replaced by the present Church of Ireland parish church. Bradley and King (1989, 39-40) record that 'the graveyard has been turned into a public park with the gravestones arranged around the walls.' Two seventeenth century graveslabs survive. Recorded by Bradley and King (1989, 40) as: 'Rectangular limestone slab in two pieces on the righ side of the park. It has square bead and reel marginal decoration. Roman lettered inscription in false relief: HERE LIETH THE/ BODY OF KATHER/ IN HVGES WIFE/ TO OWEN HVGHES/ OF DUNLAVAN/ . . . . / 11TH DAY OF DEC 1668 AGED 38/ DORMIT NON MORTVA EST.' (Dims.
