The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in Dunlavin Town and part of the medieval borough of Dunlavin (WI025-016----). The church was demolished before 1838 (O'Flanagan 1928, 112) and replaced by the present Church of Ireland parish church. More recently the graveyard has been turned into a small park and the headstones re-erected around the perimeter. Three 17th-century headstones survive (Katherin Hughes ob. 1668; Ann Wilkins ob. 1694; Will(iam) ..... (?) ob. 167?). A plaque, now in the vestry of St Nicholas' Church, commemorated the rebuilding of the chancel in 1681. (Bradley and King 1989, 39-40)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
