The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on level ground beside the public road immediately above a marked E-facing slope. Poorly preserved foundations of a rectangular structure (L 10m; Wth c. 6m) with uncoursed rubble walls (Wth 1m; H 0.5-1.5m) surviving only at E and S. An oval granite bullaun stone occurs immediately outside the SW angle. The church is located towards the SW side of a subrectangular enclosure (dims. 40m E-W; 31m N-S) set on a low (H 1.4m) natural platform and defined only by the steep sides of the platform. The site is truncated at the W by the road. There are no visible grave-markers. Another graveyard (WI007-051----) lies 60m to the W.
Archaeological test trenching was carried out c. 70m to the E in advance of insertion of a Bord Gáis Éireann pipeline, no archaeological features were encountered (Tobin 2002, 365).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
