The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated in 2001 prior to the insertion of a Bord Gáis Éireann gas pipeline (Excavation Licence 01E0575). A spread of burnt stone and charcoal (3.8m x 2.16m; max. D 0.1m) was uncovered. An oval pit (2.1m x 2.16m; max. D 0.43m) was located 1m to the north of the burnt spread and a second pit (diam. 0.8m; D 14mm) was located to the NW of the burnt spread. (Ó Néill 2003, 415-6)
