The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a gentle S-facing slope. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 33m) defined by a scarp down to the interior (H 0.8m) upslope N-E and a slight bank (Wth 3-3.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.7-1.2m) elsewhere. There is an entrance (Wth 1.4m) at SE, but there is no visible fosse. A feature that may have been a souterrain or a kiln (WA040-004002-) which was described (Westropp 1903, 378) as a 'circular opening 6 feet by 9 inches and filled with bird bones' was found on an earthwork at Ardoginna, probably at this site.

Westropp, T. J. (1903) Notes on the antiquities of Ardmore. JRSAI, 33, 353-80.
