The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in a shallow N-S valley c. 10m W of a N-S stream. Known locally as ‘Tobar a Trisnane’, it was formerly a place of pilgrimage when it had a cure for stomach complaints (Fitzgerald 1856-7, 42). It is a stone-lined rectangular well (dims. 1m x 0.3-0.4m; D 0.4m). A saddle quern (dims. 0.34m x 0.44m) and three rubbing stones, known as wishing stones, are kept at the well.
