The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a slight S-facing slope. Marked only on the 1926 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and known locally as the site of a ‘lios’. This is a flat-topped, overgrown earthen mound (dim. of base c. 20m; H 0.5-1.5m) located NW of the junction of two land drains and may represent spoil from the excavation of the drains.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
