The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35-40m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and sitauted on a severe S-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 24m E-W; 21.5m N-S), slightly dished in profile, defined by a scarp (H 0.3m at E to 1.3m at S (downslope)) and outer berm NE-S-NW, with an internal scarp (H 0.5m) NW-NE. There is no visible entrance, but there are traces of a fosse in a berm (Wth 2.3-4m) outside the bank E-S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
