The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a N-facing shelf of rock outcrop, which is on a cliff overlooking the confluence of two streams approaching from the NW and NE and which then flow off to the S. The stream was called the Cor-iske Finn - with winding waters of Fionn (Fitzgerald 1856-7, 48). The shelf (dims. c. 1m x 1.5m) has inscribed graffiti dating from the early 18th century to the 1960s, and includes the names Spratt, Stillwell and Salmon. Other inscriptons that have been read are: E. Loveglen 1760; 1786 I. Fudge; G. Fudge 1786 (FitzGerald 1856-7, 48-9).
