The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a gentle S and E-facing slope, with a N-S stream in its valley c. 170m to the E. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 27m N-S; 21m E-W) defined by an earthen bank S-NNE, best preserved at N (Wth c. 4m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 1.8m) but reduced to a scarp (H 0.4-1.1m) elsewhere. Traces of a fosse (Wth c. 6m; D 0.2m) survive S-NW and a field bank circumscribes the site NNW-NNE. There is no visible entrance. A souterrain (WA038-022002-) is in the bank at N. The interior is eroded by cattle.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
