The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the top of a NW-facing slope, and on the site of earthwork (WA038-003001-). A souterrain comprising three chambers or passages was discovered in the 1970s. One chamber (dims. 2m x 1.7m; H 1.2m) is earth-cut, another (dims. 1.7m x 1.4m; H 0.9-1.3m) rock-cut, and the third is drystone-built (dims. 1.6m x 1.1m; H 1m). The chambers are connected by creeps with an earth-cut entrance passage (visible L c. 1.9m) leading to the earth-cut chamber. It is now closed, and only traces of a shallow U-shaped depression are visible. Rath (WA038-004----) is c. 150m to the S. (McCarthy 1978)
