The National Monuments Service's description
Situated towards the top of the S-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims. 45m E-W; 37.5m N-S) that slopes down severely to the S (H c. 2m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5-6m; int. H 0.1m at S to 1.4m at N (upslope); ext. H 0.4m at N to 1m at S), which is reduced to a scarp SSE-WNW. There is an entrance (Wth 2.2m) at ENE, but there is no visible fosse.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
