The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a copse (diam. c. 54-50m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as an embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 55-60m) on the 1927 ed. Situated towards the top of an E and SE-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 42m) defined by an earthen bank (at SW: Wth 2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m), with an outer fosse (Wth 1m; D 0.4m) N-NE. The perimeter is planted with mature deciduous trees, and it is probably a landscape feature. Rath (WA037-003----) is c. 110m t the NW.
