The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular wood on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the top of an E-facing slope. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 69m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 6-8m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 2-2.5m), with an outer flat-bottomed fosse (at S: Wth of top 8.6m; Wth at base 1.5m; D 1m) S-N-NE. There is no visible entrance, and the pereimeter is planted with deciduous trees.
